One of the key points to activism is results. Results based activism. What problem situation can be changed, resolved, repaired? What strategic work can be done to achieve a goal? The Akha are marginalized by the Thai government and missionaries in many ways. What will you do and how will you do it? Activism takes persistent effort over long years. The results don't come quickly or easily. But persistence does pay off.
