Modifying the Truck Truck Repairs Modifying the truck for off road survival The truck has gone through many evolutions. Removing the box because it got stuck in the mud so easily, requiring hours to dig out, widening the wheel base, adding leaf springs, coil springs, dual shocks all around, frame bracing, building a front bumper able to push trees off the road, a light rack that doubles as a roll bar, tool box, aggressive chains for off road, and a new motor, 3,000 diesel turbo. Excellent tires, jack, lots of tools, tools, that is what keeps the truck on the road.
