Donating Seeds To The Akha Your seeds are valuable Your left over seeds can help a family The Akha are very much in need of seeds to assit their farming since their original village situations have been broken up and their seed harvesting as well. Any variety of seeds, don't worry if they are a little old, we can use them all here. You can also approach the local hardware store or farm supply and ask them if they would donate their seed inventory at the end of the year, as they will have old packets of this and that left over. We have a vegetable garden here to test varieties. In a traditional Akha village we can use more seeds to distribute to the other villagers as well. Vegetables grow well at 800 meters here. There is a real need for seeds such as tomato, onion, garlic, summer squash, zuccini etc. You can mail seeds to: Matthew McDaniel
