Two gates can be found outside every Akha village, demarking the village
in the same way that medeival cities marked their boundaries, the same way
that we mark property we want to protect from unwelcome guests.

In order to build a gate, the Akha elder Dzoeuh Mah must be present.
If a village doesn't have a Dzoeuh Mah then they only build a ceremonial
post at the outside of the village.
