The newspapers in the western part of the state are having a heyday with Chilhowie, Virginia.

First there is the well known case of the Chief of Police and a deputy raping, sodomizing and "penetrating with a foreign object" a 17 year old girl at a Halloween party they were suppose to be protecting, that was set up to raise money for charity. Those cops are gone, but are the new cops any better?

In Jan. 2010 a city cop was in an accident while intoxicated.

A photo supplied to the Bristol, Virginia paper showed a cop drinking beer with Mayor Gary Heninger's son who was under age at the time. There wasn't much of an investigation and Gary claimed his son only had a tobacco spit bottle. Where is the paper work on the investigation on underage drinking? Who was hosting the party, and why do they have minors where alcohol is being served with off duty police?????

Locals interviewed also said that the cops are used to harass people who question what is going on in the city. A bit feudal.
