Mortality Statistics We found it shocking that with all the millions of dollars spent on studies, regarding "poverty eradication, alternative development, crop substitution, opium eradication, MDG's, resettlement, etc etc etc," no one had done a study on mortality which is a very solid indicator of what really is going on. While we don't have the stats we want, there are some indicators of what the environment for mortality looks like if we look at the data below. Data:
